Frequently Asked Questions

  • Does Rainbow S support somatosensory control?

  • Supported

  • What platforms does Rainbow S support?

  • Native support for PC and Switch platforms, PS4 and PS5 platforms can be supported through R90 (PS5 native games are not supported)

  • How do I turn on somatosensory?

  • Key combination FN+L3/R3;
If you want to simulate the left stick, press FN+L3, and if you want to simulate the right stick, press FN+R3.

  • How to set somatosensory press and hold to turn on, let go and turn off?

  • FN+L3/R3 is the global somatosensory on, if you add a button to this set of key combinations (only M1, M2, M3, M4, LT), such as FN+LT+R3, then LT is the switch of the right joystick somatosensory simulation, press and hold LT to turn on the right joystick somatosensory simulation, and release LT to turn it off.

  • It feels very shaky

  • In the somatosensory settings, adjust the curve a little lower (the default curve value is relatively high), if you still feel shaky, you can reduce the gyroscope sensitivity.

  • What should I do if the gyroscope simulates the somatosensory jam of the right joystick and is not silky?

  • First of all, set the dead zone of the right joystick perspective to 0 in the game, if the stuttering is still not silky enough, then open the APP, adjust the gyroscope curve under the somatosensory setting to 0, and then slowly increase the dead zone compensation until the somatosensory is silky. (The handle setting has a high inverse curve by default, and the curve value is larger than a certain layer, which will also have the effect of dead band compensation)

  • Turn on the gyroscope to simulate the right stick after the perspective drifts

  • Calibrate the gyroscope. The handle is placed horizontally on the desktop, the FN+ screenshot button is turned on for calibration, and the four indicators are turned off after double flashing, which means that the calibration is successful

  • When the Rainbow S is paired with the R90, even if the joystick is set to 0 dead zone, it still feels like the joystick has a dead zone

  • The R90 comes with a 10% dead zone, and any joystick that is connected to the R90 will have an additional 10% dead zone. The official website has a special 0 dead zone firmware, which can be selected according to your own situation.

  • The Rainbow S joystick is stuck and has a sense of blockage

  • Check if it is caused by the joystick cap being pulled up, if so, simply press the joystick cap vertically

  • How do I adjust the joystick dead zone?

  • After the handle is powered on, connect to the mobile APP via Bluetooth to adjust the dead zone of the joystick

  • Rainbow S’s joystick drift

  • 1. First determine whether it is caused by the joystick cap being pulled up and the joystick being physically not centered. If so, press down the joystick cap.
If not, calibrate the joystick (see the manual for specific operation)
    2. If it is connected to the Steam platform, it is not ruled out that it is caused by a bug in Steam (the current version of Steam does have this bug), you can try to push the joystick to the outermost circle and rotate for two weeks to see if it can be recovered, if not, then exclude this factor.
Added: Rainbow S can set the joystick dead zone, when the joystick dead zone is set to 0, the joystick is bound to drift. Regardless of the product, all joysticks will drift in 0 dead zones.
